MWPA plans writing workshops in Belfast, Camden

The Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance will offer three winter workshops in the Midcoast, two in Belfast and one in Camden.

Novelist Cynthia Thayer will present "Novel 101, A Presentation on the Essential Elements of Writing a Novel," Saturday, Jan. 26, 10:30 a.m. to noon, at Belfast Free Library, 106 High St. This program is free to members, $5 to nonmembers.

On Saturday, Feb. 9, Beacon Press author Melanie Brooks will lead “Come a Little Bit Closer,” a workshop on crafting memoir scenes, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Belfast Free Library.

On Saturday, March 2, Liza Gardner Walsh, author of over a dozen children’s books, will lead “The Hush,” a workshop on writing children’s picture books, Saturday, March 2, from noon to 5:30 p.m. at Camden Public Library.
