MWPA plans workshops on the Midcoast

The Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance will bring four workshops to the Midcoast this fall. Advance registration is required to attend.

Susan Hand Shetterly will teach Memory & Story, a new memoir workshop, Saturdays, Oct. 7 and 21; and Nov. 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.

Down East Magazine Managing Editor Brian Kevin will lead a workshop titled It's Not About You: Lens and Legwork in Narrative Nonfiction Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St.

Beloit Poetry Journal Co-editor Rachel Contreni Flynn will lead The Magic of Metaphor, a poetry workshop, Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Belfast Free Library.

Robert Atkinson will teach Finding Your Mythic Voice, a memoir workshop, Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Belfast Free Library.
