NAGA Boys Gymnastics Win Frostbite Invitational!

Members of the North Atlantic Gymnastics Academy boys' team traveled to Biddeford to participate in the 2019 Men's Frostbite Invitational hosted by Dudziak's Gymnastics academy. The level 5 boys team placed 1st ahead of host, Dudziak's, as well as Andy Valley (Lewiston), GymNation (Kennebunk), Tri-Star(New Hampshire), and Legends (New Hampshire) with a score of 170.4.

Individual level 5 highlights included a first place finish in the all-around by Joshua Pratt (59.1) in the senior division. He also won the floor exercise (9.8), pommel horse (11.3), vault (9.3), and parallel bars (9.7). Oscar Barnes of Rockland also placed 3rd all-around in the senior division (55.6), 2nd on Pommel Horse (10.5), 2nd on rings (10.1), and 2nd on Parallel Bars (9.1). Wylie Hixson of Camden placed 3rd on Pommel Horse (9.8) and 2nd on Vault (9.2). Quinn Hoppin of Camden placed 3rd on Parallel Bars (8.9) and 3rd on Still Rings (10.0). In the junior division, Mason Contakos of Rockport placed 3rd on Parallel Bars (8.5) and 3rd in the all-around (53.2).

In the level 4 competition, Simon Contakos of Rockport placed 1st all-around (52.8). He also won the floor exercise (9.6), still rings (10.4), and high bar (8.3). He also placed 2nd on the vault (9.1) and 3rd on parallel bars (8.3). Aidan West of Liberty placed first on vault (9.4), and 2nd on parallel bars (8.4) and floor exercise (9.2). Aidan also placed 2nd all-around (50.5).

Elliot Condon of Rockport was the only level 8 competitor scoring a 44.5 all-around.

The NAGA boys gymnastics team will be traveling to Springfield, Massachusetts to participate in the Tim Dagget National Gymnastics Invitational this weekend. Good luck, boys!
