Nahme Fine Art open, with more

Jul 27, 2017

Searsport — The Nahme Fine Art Gallery, 5 West Main St./Route 1, has reopened for the summer and fall seasons with some exciting new additions. The gallery is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 1 to 5 p.m. or by appointment; call 548-2858.

Included in this year’s offerings are favorites David Estey, with his imaginative charcoal, graphite and acrylic works; Wayne Hamilton's beautiful photographs of tugs and boats in sunset and weather; Michael Nahme's varied styles and colorful paintings, as well as his carvings in stone; and Mary Brann's richly painted still lives and landscapes.

A painting by the well-known, recently deceased, artist Francis Hamabe acquired over the past year also is offered, along with other various works of art. A new addition to the gallery is Lee's Dolls, a corner where a large display of dolls, Teddy bears, books, paper dolls and related items is offered for sale, most of which are from Lee Perkins' own lifetime collection.

Beginning in August, certain items will be offered with a 10 to 50 percent discount.  These include some paintings, carvings, dolls, Teddies and Beanie Bears.
