The Maine Celtic Celebration invites you to relieve those mid-winter blues with a combination Burns Supper and Cabin Fever Ceilidh on January 25, 2014 – the 255th anniversary of the Scottish bard’s birth. The festivities will take place at the Waldo County Shrine Club on Northport Ave. in Belfast, starting with a traditional whiskey tasting from 4:30-5:30pm. This will be followed by an evening of hearty food (maybe even haggis!), entertainment, and fun, including a performance to celebrate the Burns theme by local Celtic favorites Castlebay. Doors for the supper will open at 6pm. Prizes will be awarded for recitations of Burns poetry, so polish up your oratorical chops!

Tickets are $25 for the entire event including the whiskey tasting, or $10 in advance ($12 at the door) for the dinner and entertainment. Tickets are available at Out of the Woods on Main Street in Belfast or by calling 338-2692 or emailing All proceeds will benefit the Maine Celtic Celebration. Hope to see you there!
