Neighborhood Arts offers vacation activities for kids

Searsport — Neighborhood Arts on Main Street (Route 1) is offering a Vacation Week Festival of classes and workshops for children. All classes are held at Neighborhood Arts, opposite Tozier’s Market.

Monday, April 16, 10 to 11 a.m., Preschool Fun. Singing, Sign, Dance, and Drama for Preschoolers (ages 3-5) and an adult companion. Suggested donation $5. (School-age children on vacation are welcome to join the group.)

Tuesday, April 17, 10 to 11 a.m., Clay Class with artist Linda Stec, who will guide students as they create a clay treasure to take home. Suggested donation $5.  Ages 6-10.

Tuesday, April 17, noon to 12:45 p.m., Ukelele with Jeff Weinberger, director of the Midcoast Ukes, bringing his ukuleles along for you to play. Suggested donation $5. Ages 7-12.

Wednesday, April 18, 10 to 11 a.m., Music, Mime, and Movement with Scot Cannon. Suggested donation $5.  Ages 5-12.

Thursday, April 19, 10 to 11 a.m., Puppet Play: Make colorful stick puppets and perform a short, classic story with them. Suggested donation $5. Ages 6-10.

Friday, April 20, 10 to 11 a.m., Art Bar: Art project led by arts educator Erica Thompson, followed by open-ended exploration; suggested donation $5.
