New Maine vineyard tasting & tour Saturday

By Wayfinder Schools | Oct 12, 2018

WillowsAwake Winery, a new winery and vineyard in Leeds, will host a wine tasting and vineyard tour on Saturday, October 13 from 1-4pm. This event will include the very first tour of this new Maine vineyard, hors d’oeuvres, a ten-glass wine tasting, hearty fall soups by Hurricane’s Café & Deli, and the chance to hear from nationally recognized enologist Drew Horton. Horton is an expert in cold-hardy grape vines grown specifically for northern regions. Tickets are $40 and all proceeds will benefit Wayfinder Schools, an alternative high school for at-risk youth and teen parents in Maine. Wayfinder Schools serves 65 Maine teens each year through its locations in Camden, New Gloucester and Machias. This event is generously sponsored by WIPFLI/MACPAGE, DeBlois Electric, Old Port Advisors, Kast, Clark Insurance, KeyBank, Hurricane’s Café & Deli and Kevin Sennett Media Production.
