NEW YORK CHEF SARA JENKINS RETURNS TO HER MAINE ROOTS WITH NĪNA JUNE, A MEDITERRANEAN-STYLE TRATTORIA OVERLOOKING PICTURESQUE ROCKPORT HARBOR ON THE SHORES OF PENOBSCOT BAY

A trattoria in the convivial Mediterranean tradition, where friends and neighbors, tourists and passers-by, mingle over morning coffee and a muffin, an easy-going pasta lunch, or a full-service dinner with a menu that changes weekly depending on what’s fresh and in season.

ABOUT THE RESTAURANT

After many years at the helm of her acclaimed New York City restaurants, Chef Sara, who was born next door in Camden, Maine, but raised in Italy, Spain, and Lebanon, now brings her Mediterranean passion to the magnificent array of products from the bounty of Maine’s oceans and farms. Take the finest Maine has to offer, then give it a fresh, tasty Mediterranean spin—that’s what you’ll find at Nīna June (the name comes from Sara’s childhood nickname).

Along with a convivial open interior, Nīna June boasts a sunny deck and enchanting view of Rockport harbor, with its sailboats, fishing vessels and little Indian Island lighthouse in the distance.

What's up at Nina June

Nina June says: Skies are grey, lawns are damp, streams are flooding, and it’s still too cold for a swim. But spring flourishes at Nina June with a heart-warming asparagus risotto using Beth’s finest, and a crisp rhubarb and cucumber salad. Rhubarb in a salad? Yes! Come try for yourself. Tonight ...

Crab Louis? Yes! New Now At Nina June

Nina June is back, home from California with a fresh menu addition. It's historic, it's an heirloom--it’s Crab Louis, the San Francisco sensation first served in that town, so they say, in long ago 1914. With fresh crab and seasonal asparagus, it’s worth the resurrection. Come join us at 24 ...
