Outdoor move comes early for Farmers' Market

Mar 19, 2020

Belfast — In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Belfast Farmers’ Market will move Friday, March 20, to its outside location at Waterfall Arts, 256 High St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The earlier-than-usual move outside, after the winter season in Aubuchon Hardware's greenhouse, arises from concern for community safety, market organizers said in a press release today.

"With public health as a top priority during the COVID-19 outbreak, the market has transitioned away from a social gathering hub to a place to efficiently pick up necessities from local producers," the press release said.

Visit to review the group's requests of community members "as we try to keep our marketplace as safe as possible."
