Rockport — NOTE: DUE TO THE JAN. 4 STORM, THIS SHOW IS POSTPONED TO DATE TBA

Necessary Music Productions and writer/actor Peter Paton will present “Peter Paton's Comedy, Variety & Music Show” Friday night, Jan. 5, at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Paton will present comedy with fellow Waldo County performer Leslie Stein and welcoming two music acts to the stage, as well. Random Ideas is an up-and-coming socially conscience group of musically gifted triplets from Kennebec County who performed their spirited pop-punk originals at this year’s Pride Portland event. And while most know Knox County’s Vincent Gabriel for his time with the Blind Albert Blues Band, he will be performing his songs acoustic for this show.

The evening will feature multiple sets from all the performers, as well as refreshments during the intermission. Tickets are $20, free for kids younger than 13, available at the box office or the door. Paton’s perennial shows offer a great opportunity to experience a multi-faceted show — in this case, in the dead of winter.
