Pica receives industry awards

May 10, 2019

Belfast — Pica, a Belfast-based brand, strategy and design agency, received top honors May 2 in Portland at the Broderson Awards, which recognize creative excellence in advertising, marketing and design in Maine. All categories were judged by top creative professionals from “the other Portland” in Oregon.

Competing against other advertising professionals, the agency took home two awards: a first-place gold prize in the Logos and Marks category and a second-place silver prize in the Cumberland Award category for a client with a budget under $5,000. Most of the agency's employees were present at the ceremony at University of New England's Innovation Hall to receive their trophies.

Pica won its first-ever Broderson gold for their bold logo on behalf of the First Amendment Museum in Augusta, one of the agency's nonprofit clients. The team won the silver Cumberland Award for an annual report created on behalf of WBFY — Belfast Community Radio — in its first year of operation.

This year’s Broderson winners can all be viewed online at pressherald.com/2019/04/28/the-cumberland-award/. Pica’s own website is pica.is.

For 19 years, Pica has offered web and print design services, brand strategy consultation and marketing expertise to small businesses, nonprofits and other organizations in Maine and beyond.

Pica is located at 111 Church St. in downtown Belfast (the Opera House Building).
