Police seek pharmacy thief

Unity — A man who demanded prescription medication from Unity Pharmacy with a written note April 9 escaped the premises before police arrived.

At 1:30 p.m., the male entered Unity Pharmacy on Plaza Drive and presented the note to a female employee, according to a press release from Waldo County Sheriff's Office.

The male received an undetermined amount of medication and left the store. Video surveillance showed the suspect arriving in a red or maroon four-door vehicle.

He is estimated to be approximately 6 feet tall with an average build. The suspect has blue eyes, was wearing black clothing and covered his face in a mask, police said.

Anyone with information about the pharmacy theft is encouraged to call Waldo County Sheriff’s Office at 1-800-660-3398.
