Thorndike — The Mount View basketball teams hoped to close 2017 on an upward swing — namely, with a pair of high school court wins — in a doubleheader with Foxcroft Academy of Dover-Foxcroft on Saturday, Dec. 30.

Unfortunately for the home-standing Mustangs, the visiting Ponies had those same aspirations.

The Mustangs remained winless on the young campaign as the girls dropped a 44-32 decision, while the boys were dealt a 59-44 defeat.
