Pratt, Oleson present joint reading

BELFAST — On Tuesday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m., authors Bruce Pratt and Anne Britting Oleson will give a joint reading with discussion at the Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.

Novelist and poet Bruce Pratt will read from his recent short story collection, “The Trash Detail” (2018), and his new poetry chapbook, “Forms and Shades” (2019). A 2008 Pushcart Award nominee, Pratt has published fiction, poetry and plays, all to critical acclaim.

Currently he edits “American Fiction,” and is the past director of the Northern Writes Project at Penobscot Theatre Company in Bangor. He received a MFA in creative writing from the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast in 2004. He lives in Swanville.

Anne Britting Oleson will read from her novel, “Tapiser” (2019), and chapbook, “Alley of Dreams” (2018). Britting Oleson lives and writes in Dixmont, is a graduate of the Stonecoast MFA program of the University of Southern Maine, and a founding member of Simply Not Done, a women's reading, writing and teaching collective.
