Apr 14, 2019

Belfast — Community Partnerships for Protecting Children (CPPC) conducts monthly, community educational trainings for professionals who work with children and families.

The next training, in collaboration with Waldo County Child Abuse & Neglect Council, will be Wednesday, April 17, at the Belfast Family Resource HUB, located at The First Church, 8 Court St., from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

This free training will be presented by Helen Rogers, child abuse prevention specialist, from Broadreach Family & Community Services.

Strengthening Maine Families is a research-informed approach to increase family strengths, enhance child development and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect.

This strength-based community training, which focuses on five protective factors, is for professionals working with children and their families, such as educators, child care providers and social service providers. All are welcome.
