Welcome to May and wish everyone who is celebrating a Birthday or Anniversary this month, a very Happy Day and wishes for many more.

In the rain yesterday, Linda Gamble and I delivered 20 May Baskets to people around town. Linda got out of the car more than I did (old age) but everyone was pleased with the Baskets that the Coffee Time people assembled on Weds.

The Prospect Community Club will have a meeting Thurs. 7:00 PM in their dining room and discuss the Insurance claims on the roof, Memorial Day Parade and Luncheon after for the Legionnaires and Scholarship for a Prospect Student going to College or Trade School. Everyone welcome.

The Bean and Casserole Supper will be held May 10th. 4-6 PM.

The Annual Mail Carriers Food collection will be May 10th. Hang the bag off the mail box and a separate mail carrier will pick it up and all will be taken to the Searsport Food Pantry for distribution.

The Prospect Volunteer Fire Dept. will hold their monthly meeting May 5th. 6:00 PM. They can always use more volunteers.

Dorothy Gordon returned home Wed. after surgery at EMMC and reportedly her surgery went well. She has a good attitude and deep Faith which helps her with her many health problems.

Congratulations to Sarah Webster, daughter of Jay and Paula Webster and Class of 2002 . She will be inducted into St. Joseph’s 2014 Hall of Fame in Standish, Me in Oct. Sarah was an outstanding softball pitcher and held the all time innings leader during her career.

To all High School Seniors of Prospect, time is running out to apply for the $250.00 Ray Webster, Sr. Scholarship and the $500.00 Stockton Alumni Scholarship for Stockton Springs, Sandy Point and Prospect Students. The Guidance Counselor has the applications in her Office. The decision is to be made before May 8th.

To all Mother’s, I want to wish you a wonderful day with family.

The Historical Society will have their first meeting of the year, May 12th. 7:00 PM in the Community dining room. Much to be discussed and plans to be made. All are welcome. There are light refreshments after the meeting.
