The Girls at the Town Office have been very busy and the Tax Bills are arriving in the mail. Sure that people will not be happy to see them but they are an essential part of providing the services that we enjoy. Snow plowing, trash collection, recycles, Ambulance, Fire Dept. and the list goes on and the fact that the Town has no debt!! Good job all around.

Last week, July 19th. Approximately 114-124 motorcycles joined in for a memorial ride-Ryan’s Ride and the money raised went directly to the Wounded Warrior Fund an Semper Fi. I could hear them coming, heading for Stockton and what a sight it was. All these people were paying tribute to ALL Fallen and wounded Servicemen and it gave me chills to watch them ride by. The ride was started to honor a Frankfort native, Ryan Love who took his life after 7 deployments around the World and the family wants to increase awareness of their trying to have a normal life when they leave the War behind.. I was brought up to honor our fighting men and women and the American Flag and when I hear Kate Smith sing Good Bless America, I still have a tear run down my cheek. God Bless them all.

I was down to the Marsh School Weds. and I was amazed at the difference from when I was there before. It is clean and the painting on the walls, ceilings and floor will be done soon. Don and Carol Johnson have worked very hard washing the wall and woodwork which had been covered with soot from the furnace backfiring several years ago. I feel guilty that I cannot help with this work anymore but the time comes when it happens. It will be very impressive come Oct. 4th. when we celebrate the 220th. Birthday of Prospect. There will be many events taking place and the closer we get to that day, then a time line will be established so people will know what time an event will take place and where.

The Prospect Fire Dept. will be holding their monthly meeting, Aug. 4th. 6:00 PM at the Fire Station.

The Prospect Community Club will be holding a Bean Supper Aug. 9th. 4-6 PM at the Dining Room and their regular meeting will be Aug.14th. 7:00 PM in the dining room.

The Prospect Historical Society will have Picnic Aug. 10th. at Fort Knox, Noon time with Pot Luck. A list was passed around for people to sign up what they would be bringing but if you would like to attend, by all means join us and bring what you want to drink and a dish. There may be some business discussed but more eating and laughing than anything. See you there?

I want to wish you all a safe and healthy week and please remember those that need a card or a prayer. God Bless you all.
