Liberty — A Liberty man is being held without bail for allegedly violating a protection order and possessing pills.

On Jan. 8, Cpl. Merl Reed interviewed Benjamin Rogers, 19, at his home in Liberty after a complainant contacted police regarding a protection order. The complainant told police Rogers contacted her despite a protection order prohibiting such action, according to a news release from Waldo County Sheriff's Office.

Reed arrested Rogers for the alleged protection order violation, a Class D offense. While searching Rogers, the corporal found a plastic bag containing four Oxycodone pills in the man's pocket, police said, earning him a Class D possession of Oxycodone charge.

Rogers was taken to Waldo County Correctional Center where he is being held without bail until his arraignment.
