Jul 02, 2018
Liberty Library is selling raffle tickets for this quilt and ice box, both made by Liberty residents.

Liberty — Liberty Library is selling raffle tickets for two items this summer — a handmade quilt and a handcrafted oak ice box.

The 54 by 72-inch quilt, called “The Colors of Maine,” is made of batik fabrics, machine-pieced and machine-quilted by Susan Chapin of Liberty.

Jon Dean of Liberty built the replica of an antique oak ice box.

Both items are on display at the library at 59 Main St. in Liberty village. Tickets for each are $5 and can be purchased at the library. Winners will be drawn at the Ice Cream Social Aug. 25.
