RESCHEDULED - Business group offers Pickles, Preserves & Pies Cooking Class Sept. 12
Lincolnville — The Lincolnville Business Group and instructor Amy Barnard of UMaine Cooperative Extension have rescheduled the annual Pickles Preserves and Pies Cooking Class for Sept. 12. This year the class will be themed "Sweet n Sour" and will focus on preserving pie fillings and chutneys, creating refrigerator pickles and making shrubs.
The class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cellardoor Winery kitchen on Youngtown Road. The cost of $25 per person includes supplies, instruction and venue. Remaining proceeds go to the business group's Scholarship Fund for area students. Lincolnville Business Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Maximum class size is 16. Interested people are asked to purchase tickets in advance at Brown Paper Tickets, sweetnsour.bpt.me.
