By Renae Muscatell | Oct 06, 2017

Rockland, ME - The Penquis Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is currently looking for volunteers in Knox, Waldo and Lincoln counties who can use their life experience and skills to help meet vital needs in their community. RSVP is America’s largest volunteer network engaging adults 55 and over in volunteer service.

RSVP volunteers are making a difference and strengthening communities by serving in such roles as food pantry assistants, mentoring youth, Meals on Wheels delivery, companionship and friendly visitor programs, reading to children and seniors and much more. RSVP volunteers have the flexibility to choose the amount of time, location and how they wish to volunteer.

The potential has never been stronger, the need has never been greater, and the time to get involved has never been better. For more information about our program and the benefits of becoming an RSVP volunteer, call 207- 974-2432 or 1-800-215-4942.

RSVP is funded in part by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Penquis does a lot with a little. Drop by their office on Main Street in Rockland some time and give them a word of encouragement. It is amazing what they accomplish. Unashamedly have been the recipient of assistance and have also volunteered.
