The Waldo Education Association Retired recently completed its fall Day of Caring project for two Waldo County schools. Walker School in Liberty received garden bulbs planted under the direction of Suzanne Pelletier of Liberty. The Capt. Albert Stevens School in Belfast received socks, underwear and gift cards to assist students in need. Member donations were enhanced through a grant from the Maine Education Association Retired. Greg Coleman, left, and Mary Jane Coleman (not pictured) were instrumental in organizing this event. Here, Coleman presents items to CASS school nurse Chris Harrington and Principal Glen Widmer.
