Revealing ‘The Cuba Unknown’

Lincolnville — Tyler Dunham and Seth Brown will give an illustrated talk on their new book “The Cuba Unknown” Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 7 p.m. at the Lincolnville Community Library, 208 Main St./routes 173/52 in Lincolnville Center.

Dunham and Brown are part of Makewild, a team of documentary filmmakers and photographers that also includes Marco Bava and Corey McLean. The team spent five months in Cuba over the past two years filming a feature about surfing on the island. They also took beautiful photos and gathered stories for their book, which includes illustrations, treasure maps and travel tips for visitors to the country.

Dunham and Brown, who grew up in Lincolnville along with McLean, will talk about their travels to Cuba, share some short videos about their film and sign copies of their book at the presentation. For more information, call 763-4343 or email

Am looking forward to what they have to say about the Cuban "Resolver" attitude.  Observing it certainly changed my outlook on life and other cultures.
