Roberts knocks in tee shot on fourth, women's league play at Country View

Waldo resident records first career hole-in-one

Brooks — The following is news from the Country View Golf Club:

On Wednesday, July 15, for the second time in less than a week, the course saw a hole-in-one. This time, Darrell Roberts of Waldo aced the par-3, 125-yard fourth hole. He used a 52-degree wedge to record his first career hole-in-one.

The accurate tee shot was witnessed by Ross DeLorenzo.

On Thursday, July 16, in women's league play, first-place honors went to Susan Hart, Jean Raven and Donna Short, while the second trio included Joette Fields, Donna Nason and Fran White. The pin winners were: Jean Raven on the fourth hole and Susan Hart on the ninth. The women tee off at 9 a.m. Thursdays. All are welcome.
