Northport — Camden-Rockport Adult Flag Football League teams and players have faced a bit of adversity this fall, including the loss of their primary playing field, but the group has continued to forge forward in the regular season as the playoffs loom in the coming weeks.

Thomas Massey, one of those who organized and directs the league, said regular-season games will continue on Sundays through Dec. 2 (except the weekend after Thanksgiving).

Games have continued to be played on the artificial surface at Point Lookout in Northport after wet weather and heavy use forced the league to abandon its traditional field at the Camden Snow Bowl.

The regular season continues on Sunday, Dec. 2, while the playoffs will be Sunday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the championship clash kicking off at 3 p.m. that day.

The league standings, before Nov. 18 play, were: Rock Solid 6-0, P.G. Willey and Rollie's Rockets 4-2, Pioneers 3-3, Hobos 2-5 and Back Cove and Twisted Wharf Kitties 1-5.

The league includes a 10-week regular season and, with seven teams, includes two bye weeks for eight regular-season games per squad.
