Rotary Offers Summer Exchange Program for Teens

By West Bay Rotary Club | Jan 22, 2020

Discover the world! Learn a foreign language or improve the one you already study, discover another culture, and truly become a global citizen.

Rotary International’s Short-Term Exchange Program (STEP) matches two students — each from a different country —  for a family-to-family exchange. Participants get to know one another's cultures firsthand by spending a few weeks together in each of their homes.

One of the largest service organizations in the world, Rotary International has been providing youth exchange opportunities for over 90 years as a means of promoting intercultural understanding.

Thank you so much for the recommendation.  We have heard from many exchange students, both those who come here and those who go abroad, and it is obvious that the exchange program has a great impact on the lives of the participants.

I highly recommend this program. The Rotarians are easy to work with and have a wealth of knowledge. They offer a great service to students wanting to go abroad. My daughter went to both Belgium and England. She loved the experiences of different cultures as well as enjoying the new surroundings, a great geography lesson! It was a good time (summer) to travel and not have school as a worry. She made life long friends. This program gave her the travel bug and she has since become an international traveler as well as a better global citizen.

Thank you West Bay Rotary and Rotary International
