Rumery, Fowler fastest in Rollie's 'Run for Kids' 5K

Sixth and final event of year attracts nearly 45 runners/walkers

Belfast — The sixth and final race in the RunBelfast Series was held on Saturday, Oct. 5 as the Rollie's "Run for Kids" 5-kilometer event, a benefit for Shriners Hospitals for Children, was held on the Belfast Rail Trail.

Shawn Rumery, 33, of Searsmont again legged to first, as he crossed the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes and 19 seconds, while Evan Hutchins, 32, of Swanville was second at 18:17 among the 43-participant field.

Jasmine Fowler, 41, of Morrill was the first female finisher, as she made the journey in 20:59, or fifth overall.
