Belfast — The beat of drums and the clang of pots and pans reverberated across Main
Street preceding the dedication of the "S.S. Belfast" mural Friday, Aug. 17.

Artists David Hurley and Russell Kahn led the procession to the mural before Hurley thanked the organizations and individuals who supported him throughout the process.

Miss S.S. Belfast Unique Peterson, owner of Unique of Boston, christened the nautical mural with a bottle of champagne.

During a telephone interview Monday, Aug. 20, Hurley said he was very pleased with the dedication ceremony, and at the number of people who attended.

"It was a nice event. It was a beautiful evening," he said.

A photo of the mural for those of us who don't get to Belfast very often would be appreciated.  When we do get to Belfast where can it be seen?
