SDHS seniors raise funds with Festival of Trees Dec. 14 & 15

Searsport — Members of Searsport District High School's class of 2020 will hold a Festival of Trees the weekend of Dec. 14-15 to raise funds for their senior class trip and Project Graduation.

The event will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the SDHS Cafetorium. Admission will be $2 for adults, $1 for RSU 20 students, and age 12 and under are admitted free. Raffle tickets will be available for $1 each, with no limit on the number purchased.

Other festival activities will include cookie decorating, ornament decorating, a bake sale and pictures with Santa. All of the trees are being donated by local businesses, including Toziers, Mel's Place Hair and Nail Salon, Bangor Savings Bank, Silkweeds, Searsport Automotive & Tire, Sundog Solar and more. Businesses will decorate a tree with a theme of their choice.

At the end of the event, one ticket will be drawn per tree and the winner will win everything that comes with the tree, including ornaments, lights and gifts.
