Monday, January 8, starting at 6:30 p.m., the Planning Board will hold their regular meeting in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.

Thursday, January 11, starting at 7 p.m., the Budget Advisory Committee will meet in the Town Hall.

Thursday, January 11, starting at 6:30 p.m., the Historic Preservation Committee will meet in the Town Hall.

Saturday, January 13, from 4 until 7 p.m., a benefit supper for the Bill and Denise Dakin family will be held at the Searsport District High School Cafeteria.

The Dakin family lost their house to fire on Christmas day along with their dog and cat.

Bill is a carpenter and keeps most of us plowed out during the winter. Denise has been a member of the R.S.U.20 school board for many years

This will be a spaghetti supper with a 50/50 raffle and they will be holding a regular raffle as well.

Cost is $5.00 or by donation, FMI contact Darlene at 323-9968 Anyone wanting to donate a raffle item can drop it off around 3 p.m. at the cafeteria.

Wednesday, January 17, starting at 1 p.m., the Selectmen will hold their regular meeting in the Town Hall. This date and time change is so that the 5th grade children can attend the meting. This meeting will be televised.

Thursday, January 18. starting at 5:00 p.m. Comprehensive Planning Workshop will take place in the Town Hall. At 6:30 p.m., the Historic Preservation Committee will meet in the Town Hall. Starting at 7 p.m., the Budget Advisory Committee will meet in the Town Hall.

Alana, putting the police blotters together relies heavily on police availability and cooperation. We will continue to reach out to Searsport to get that public information. -- Stephanie Grinnell, editor
