There is some good eating in Searsport on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. when there will be a Takeout Lobster Roll Supper at Curtis Hall at the Searsport Congregational Church to benefit the Kindness Program. The supper menu consists of a roll packed with fresh Maine Lobster, chips, a pickle and a homemade whoopie pie for dessert, all for $20 per meal. Reservations are suggested; call Sandra Otis-Anderson at 207-548-6530 or Jayne Snowdale at 407-694-8733.

What is the Kindness Program? Sponsored by all the Searsport community churches, it is a program to feed needy seniors and children with either pick up or dropped off boxes of food.
