Augusta — AUGUSTA – Maine Senate President Michael Thibodeau (R-Waldo) addressed a gathering of young ladies in the chamber of the House of Representatives on Thursday. It was part of Girl’s Day at the State House, which is organized by the Maine Women’s Lobby.

Senate President Thibodeau spoke to them about Maine’s trailblazing women, such as Margaret Chase Smith, Olympia Snowe, and Susan Collins who have represented Maine proudly in the United States Congress.

Senator Thibodeau encouraged the young leaders of tomorrow to get involved and take an active role in public life.
