Sloane shows at Searsmont library

Carol Sloane has a show of paintings this fall at the Searsmont Town Library.

Searsmont — Midcoast painter Carol Sloane, who recently moved from Washington to Rockland, is showing colorful still lifes and portraits she painted in the 1990s, during her time in New York City at the Art Students League, at the Searsmont Town Library, 47 Main St./Route 131.

The show will open with a 5 to 6 p.m. reception Thursday, Sept. 21, and run through Nov. 2. For library information, call 342-5549.
