Spa Day May 5 will benefit New Hope for Women

Lincolnville — A group of Midcoast practitioners and vendors has organized a Spring Spa Day Saturday, May 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Lincolnville Community Center, with admission by donation to benefit New Hope for Women.

The program begins with signing in, donning flip-flops, getting comfortable, and sipping morning beverages while browsing through vendor displays.

As the Spa Day progresses, participants will be able to learn about and/or experience essential oils, laser therapy stress reduction, green protein and vegan food and lifestyle changes, creating essential oil remedies, balancing hormones for better sleep and pain management, heart coherence guided meditation, foot soaking with essential oils, tea education, microgreens and wheatgrass juicing techniques, and reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.

New Hope for Women offers support to people in Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties affected by domestic violence, dating violence and stalking, and provides educational resources to assist our communities in creating a safer and healthier future.

Spa Day program:

10:30 a.m. - Essential oil education with Kelly; laser therapy stress reduction with Sandra.

11 a.m. - Sample green protein with Ryan and  Tia. Learn about vegan food and lifestyle changes for optimum health.

11:30 a.m. - Create your own essential oil remedies with Kelly. Balancing hormones, better sleep, and pain management.

12 p.m. - Heart coherence guided meditation with Michelle or foot soak with essential oils and tea education.

1 p.m. - Wheatgrass juicing techniques with Kate Hall of Graze. Explore how microgreens can expand your raw food experience.

1:30 p.m. - Foot soak with essential oils and tea education.

2 p.m. - Learn how to reduce oxidative stress and inflamation with Darci, Lauren, and Kathy.

3 p.m. - Heart coherence guided meditation with Michelle.
