Join us for an advanced-level Spanish course that will focus on analyzing films of Spanish cinema based on the three-act structure. The class will begin with an introduction to the vocabulary of cinema, along with an overview of the basic structure of a screenplay. Students will discuss and debate films with an eye toward their narrative structure and what makes them work or not work. Language acquisition in this context will be in the service of expressing an argument or a concept.
