What is it about a road trip that is so alluring? Went to Ohio this past week and now have a list of places I would like to go back and explore. Some of the trees are starting to turn colors and the fields of corn are ready to be harvested.

Back here in Stockton Harbor people are tidying up their boats to be put away for the season. More personal fishing boats are going in and out of the harbor. Autumn is a stunning time of year to be out enjoying nature.

Please let me know if you have anything for the town column.

Thought for the Week: The secret of life is to let every segment of it produce its own yield at its own pace. Every period has something new to teach us. The harvest of youth is achievement; the harvest of middle-age is perspective; the harvest of age is wisdom; the harvest of life is serenity. — Joan Chittister.
