Belfast — Second graders from the Nickerson School in Swanville learned about the various departments at Waldo County General Hospital and the different ways each serves patients who come in for treatment.

The students toured the hospital Wednesday morning, May 15.

During the morning visit, the hospital staff showed the students x-rays, invited them to try out a few of the exercises in the physical therapy department, showed them around the emergency room, guided a tour of the cardiac unit and introduced them to a newborn baby in the women and infants department.
