93 Main Coffee Shop, 93 Main St., Unity. Sebasticook Regional Land Trust Speaker Series. Patterns of fish presence, absence, and abundance over the past 30 years in regional streams and Unity Pond, with emphasis on brook trout. Under the tutelage of regional fish biologist Dave Potter, Unity College’s Fisheries Techniques Class has monitored regional fish assemblages for several decades. This data collection continues to the present day, but additionally serves to inform new explorations and hypotheses about patterns in the fishes of this region. This talk will also highlight the ecology and biology of select species to help emphasize the importance of preserving the unique aquatic ecosystems of this region.
