Prospect Community Center, 959 Bangor Road (1A). Richard Dyer, past owner of the Sail Inn Restaurant (demolished in 2006), speaks at a meeting of the Prospect Historical Society. Exhibits of businesses and occupations in Prospect from the early 1800s through present day, including quarrying, Switzer Water Co., retail stores, farming, a skunk oil company (who knew?) and the manufacture of a mysterious red chalk sold to quarries worldwide beginning in the mid-19th century. Refreshments before and after, including fresh baked “Sail Inn” pies and coffee. Free; ADA accessible.
