South Liberty — Taylor Jewett, 38, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020.

Taylor was born in Winchester, Mass., Dec. 31, 1981. He graduated from Mount View High School in 2001.

Taylor worked as a mason and carpenter. He spent every holiday season making wreaths supporting the Jewett Christmas Tree Farm. Above everything, Taylor enjoyed spending time with his son, Sam. He also loved sports, hunting, all-season fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and most recently learned how to ski with Sam and his brother Josh.

Taylor is survived by his son, Samuel Jewett; parents Randy and Janet (Sweeney) Jewett; brother Joshua and his wife, Rachel Jewett; nephews Calvin Jewett and Tyler Cespedes and his fiancée, Sara Little, and their daughter, Ella Cespedes; grandmothers Margaret “Peg” Sweeney of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Marilyn Jewett of Liberty and Sarasota, Fla. He is also survived by Sam’s mother, Sophie Pfander; close friends Chris Ruby, Don Foster and Terry Ott; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Taylor was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Forrest Jewett and Robert Sweeney.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to benefit Sam Jewett may be sent to the Taylor Jewett Memorial Fund in care of Bangor Savings Bank, 7 Belmont Ave., Belfast, ME 04915.
