May 16, 2018

Belfast Free Library welcomes Teens to Trails on Wednesday, May 30, at 6 p.m., when the organization will demonstrate how to start an Outing Club and lead everyone through an orienteering activity.

Coastal Mountains Land Trust also will share information about area trails and outdoor activities.

The program is recommended for teens, parents, teachers and community members interested in the outdoors, well-being, and in starting an Outing Club for area teens.

Teens to Trails (T3) is dedicated to increasing opportunities for teens to experience the outdoors through a variety of programs that promote and support Outing Clubs. According to their mission statement, "Unstructured time in the outdoors develops teens' decision-making skills and increases their independence, initiative, and motivation to learn while fostering an environmental ethic. We help teens establish roots for healthier, happier lives.” for more information about the organization, visit teenstotrails.org.

All library programs are free and open to the public. For more information call 338-3884 ext. 24.
