Ten Midcoast student-athletes deemed among best on pitch

Seven area players get kicks in Senior Bowl on Nov. 13 in Bangor

Augusta — Ten Midcoast high school soccer players have been deemed among the best in their school's class affiliation and region for the recently-concluded fall season.

Of the 10 local regional "all stars," seven are seniors, one a junior and two sophomores.

Those student-athletes represent Camden Hills of Rockport, Mount View of Thorndike, Searsport and Vinalhaven-North Haven.

The Maine Soccer Coaches Association (MSCA) selected class/regional all-star teams, with the seniors eligible to take part in the annual games.

The following is a list of area student-athletes deemed among the best in their class and region:

Class A North boys — Camden Hills seniors Lucas Boetsch and Andy Pitcairn.

Class B North boys — Mount View sophomore Elijah Allen.

Class A North girls — Camden Hills sophomore Kristina Kelly and junior Kassie Krul.

Class B North girls — Mount View senior Elise Brown.

Class D South girls — Searsport senior Sammy Hamblen; and Vinalhaven/North Haven seniors Gilleyanne Davis-Oakes and Déja Doughty.

Class D South boys — Vinalhaven-North Haven senior Henry Noyes.

The 23rd annual MSCA Senior Bowl will kick in on Sunday, Nov. 12 at Husson University in Bangor with seven student-athletes from Knox and Waldo counties invited to participate.

The girls game begins at noon and boys at 2:30 p.m.
