Series: The Gospel Works │Scripture: Romans 13:1-14; 1 Peter 2: 11-14; Jonah 3:6-10; 1 Timothy 2: 1-3

o Does the Gospel even have a role to play in government?

o  How can government function without God?

o If government’s purpose is to punish evil and reward good, how can it do its job without the Church sharing the Gospel which defines good and evil?

o To do its job successfully, the government needs the Church to use the Gospel to  fulfill the proper role of spiritual guide and counselor.

o “Bring Biblical perspective to public policy.”

o The Gospel Works:

  • Submit to those in authority, Romans 13:1-3
  • Pray for those in authority, 1 Timothy 2:1-3
  • Honor those in authority, 1 Peter 2:17

o What about you?

  • Pray for the ministry of the Christian Civic League!
  • Engage the government with the Gospel!
  • Become a monthly partner!
