"They Might Be Giants,"  To be Interviewed on WRFR

On Tuesday February 19th at 8pm, tune in to "Jo and Cheech’s Radio Hour"  (WRFR-LP 93.3 FM Rockand, 99.3 FM Camden, www.wrfr.org Live Streaming) to hear an interview with John Flansburgh and John Linnell of the 2 time Grammy winning Brooklyn band, "They Might Be Giants."  Guest hosting the interview will be former WRFR DJ Kim Slawson.

"They Might Be Giants" (TMBG) are best known for their original, quirky music including the famous cover Istanbul and their original song Particle Man. The band’s creativity goes beyond its songs.  For example: their invention of Dial-a-Song in which people were encouraged to dial in to listen to songs the band had recorded on an answering machine. Dial-a-Song has since been replaced with an online podcast and a streaming smartphone (iphone) music app. The show will also include a preview of TMBG’s latest album,  Nanobots LP.  Make note: on Wednesday February 27th TMBG will be performing at the Port City Music Hall in Portland, Maine.
