Thorndike column

By Linda Dixon

Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Lorraine Sullivan. She was such a nice person and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

On Friday, Dec. 8, Thorndike village will be alive with the sights and sounds of Christmas, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. on a firetruck and the Christmas tree will be lit in the town square. There will be events taking place from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Pictures with Santa, live music at the McKay farm and research station, story walk, gingerbread house competition, 12 days of Christmas scavenger hunt and carolers are some of the activities going on. I hope to see you there.

The Mount View Chamber Singers will be at the Freedom Congregational Church on Monday, December 11, 7 p.m.

Charles Manson was quoted as saying,"You know, a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody's crazy."

Have a safe and happy week and remember to call me with your news items by Thursday evening each week.
