I hope everyone has a great Christmas with family, friends, food and festivities.

The 6th Biennial Chamber Concert is taking place on Sunday, January 7th, at 7 p.m. at the Clifford Performing Arts Center at Mount View High School (snow date January 8th).

Alumni chamber singers who would like to participate should call Vicki at 568-3782 or email futuremsad3@yahoo.com. This is being sponsored by Future RSU 3, Unitel and the Unity Foundation. All proceeds benefit an operating fund for the Clifford Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the concert. Tickets are available at Pat Newell Accounting, 126 Main Street, Unity; Freedom General Store, Route 137, Freedom Village; Marsh River Co-Op, 5 Veterans Highway, Brooks; and at the Belfast Co-Op, 123 High St., Belfast.

Sincere condolences are being sent to the family and friends of Don Nickerson Jr. He was an important part of his community and will be missed by all.

Orson Welles was once quoted as saying, "I prefer people who rock the boat to people who jump out."

A very happy and healthy New Year to all.
