Thorndike column

By Linda Dixon

There is a new pick-up time for trash in Thorndike. Until further notice, 6 a.m. on Wednesdays is the new time.

Sincere condolences are being sent to the family and friends of Gloria Pacheco. I always loved her sense of humor. She will be missed.

Happy belated birthday to my sister, Donna Shute.

A belated birthday wish also goes out to my grandson, Taylor! I hope you enjoyed your day.

If you receive an email from the "Uninet Webmail Team," a final notice for an account upgrade, delete immediately. Do not open and answer the questions that Uninets already has the answers to. Uninets never sends emails like this. Again, when in doubt, delete or at least call Unitel and ask if they sent the email. I did and this is what they told me.

Dustin had some visitors this week; Papa, Tanner, Charles, Seth, George, Bill and Ricky stopped in to say "hi."

Eric Hoffer is quoted as saying, "Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength."

Thank you to the Thorndike Fire Department for doing the spring burn around the pond. It always makes it look so much better in the areas that are too wet to mow.

Have a great week and drive safely.
