Thorndike Fire open house, Saturday, Oct. 12, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All are welcome. There will be refreshments, things for the kiddos and some smoke detector and fire extinguisher giveaways. Come support the local fire department and enjoy some tasty refreshments.

Thank you, Lisa and Christian, for stacking my wood while I was at work. It is very much appreciated.

Sincere condolences are being sent to the family and friends of Bacil Ames. He will be sadly missed by his family.

The nights are getting longer and colder. It is the end of fair season, the gardens harvested and flowers are cut back. I have yet to freeze some squash and then it will be time for Christmas shopping to begin.
