Sincere condolences are being sent to the family and friends of David Hansen. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Thanks to George Ward for the fresh-caught pike. We had it baked with potatoes and veggies, then I made a fish chowder and Dustin finished it off with pike burgers. I had never eaten pike before, but it is delicious, no matter how it is served. Dustin just loved it. Thanks, George.

Don't forget to shop the Brooks Congregational Church Thrift Store. It is run by volunteers from the church and it is a great place to shop and the volunteers are always cheery and helpful. See you there.

I must say I am not a fan of this ice. I do like the warmer weather we have been having, but I guess we can't have everything.

I would like to have people contact me with articles for this column. There must be something going on in the area.
