Weatherwise we have had an up-and-down week. I hope it makes up its mind soon, as I keep going from winter to spring clothes! I started to put a few winter things away, but canceled that when I had to drag my winter boots back out.

Dustin and I went for a walk a few days ago and watched the Canada goose family at the pond. There were about six little ones going for a swim with father and mother goose. It is always nice to see the wildlife.

I got a very nice card recently from Miss Suzie Q. I love her calls and notes in the mail. She is a sweetheart.

Well, I had my first soft-serve cone of the season at Ridgetop Dairy bar. It was even better than I remembered.

I believe the hours at Ridgetop Restaurant and Dairy Bar to be Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. for takeout only. To call your order in for pickup, please call 568-3696.

A huge thank-you to my cleanup crew at 3 Gordon Hill Road. Now to get a few more flowers in the ground and some paint on and a few other things. Again, thank you so much, especially to Miss Emma.

I got to the recycling center with a couple of big items on their reopening day. It was really good to see the guys and to again have a place to dispose of cardboard, plastics, household batteries, air conditioners, etc. It keeps all those things out of the environment.

Dr. Seuss is quoted as saying, "I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.

And lastly, the My Sister and I Gift Store at 29 Depot St. is open. They have one of a kind silk floral arrangements for cemeteries, home and porch. They have holiday items, a craft section and new toys. Stop by and check it out. They can be reached at 568-3617 or 557-2791.

Have a safe week and get them lawns mowed.
